Nationwide had an app for an individual event, but although it worked well at the time, afterwards it clogged up devices and displayed out-of-date information.

Our solution

Based on Sequel’s JuICe framework, we delivered an events app, distributed in the Apple, Android and Windows app stores, that made it easy for the client to manage multiple events, starting with the annual award ceremony, to engage and excite delegates in the month-long lead-up to the big day and as an interactive event and information platform. 

The impact

The app’s social functions proved a hit, building collaboration and excitement about the event, before, during and after. Most popular was the uploading of event dress photos, the menu choice feature and the ‘Ask Me Anything’ panel polls. The event was filmed and streamed live so invitees unable to attend could watch it on their device.

361 users came into the app a total of 4,605 times, each visiting at least 12 times during the four-week period of the event. The plan was always for the app to be used for multiple events and different audiences and around 30 events now hosted on the app.
